The initiative will provide a lasting and sustainable funding source for our State Parks. Signatures are now being gathered to put this proposal on the November 2010 ballot. Voters will be able to decide if they would like to pay a fee of ONLY $18 per year on their vehicle license registration in exchange for FREE DAY USE in our State Parks all year long. Visitor Center docents have an opportunity to interact with park visitors from all over the world. Share your special moments with us. Visitors sometimes say very humorous things. For instance, one of my favorites is when they want to know what time the whales are going to show up. Also, let us know if you need anything that will make your job easier.

Wildflower sightings each spring are very exciting. Share your sightings in our State Parks. Be specific about the dates and locations so others can find them as well. GPS coordinates would be great. If you have questions as to the name of a specific wildflower and you have a photo you can email it to Michele Luna, mluna@mcn.org and I will post the photo for you with the answer if I know it, otherwise we can ask our flora experts.
